SriNon Thai Street Food is owned and managed by Sri and Non Klaisamniang and their children. The couple met in Singapore, fell in love and were soon after married. They both loved cooking for their family and wanted to introduce traditional Thai food to people from different countries. The young family’s dream was to open their own restaurant in the future. For this reason, Sri and Non moved to England and pursued training in various restaurants in Leeds such as Thai Aroy Dee, Chaopraya, and Thai Edge while their kids were back in Thailand. After eight long years of being away from their kids, they were finally able to reunite in England in 2011. With over thirty years of experience working in kitchens across Thailand, Singapore, and England, Sri and Non decided it was time to open their own business. First, a location in Kingsgate Shopping Centre in Huddersfield was opened, followed by a stall in Trinity kitchen and now the restaurant on Great George Street in Leeds. The family usually participates in food festivals over the summer to spread their unique, home-cooked taste of Thai food. The restaurant is the family’s blood, sweat and tears; the husband is the head chef, the wife is the starter chef, while the eldest child manages it. The family’s spirit fills the restaurant as friendly smiles welcome you. The design immediately will brighten your mood as it is set with the signature bright red, green and yellow which represent the family’s lucky colours. SriNon Kitchen aims to invite you to the Klaisamniang family who will serve you their home-cooked food and welcome you into their family.
